Khirbet Bal'ama (Castellum Beleismum)

Also known as Castellum Beleismum, Chastiau St Job, Khirbet Balama

Khirbet Bal'ama — Castellum Beleismum, 'the castle of St Job' — stood at an important crossroads south of Jenin. A two-storey vaulted tower inside a rectangular enclosure protected a long vaulted tunnel leading down to a spring. The tunnel, partly excavated in recent years, is still visible.
