Jabal Quruntul (Mount of Temptation)

A Templar castle established on the summit of Jabal Quruntul, the traditional Mount of Temptation above Jericho, reusing natural caves and cisterns. The site is now best known for the cliff-clinging Greek Orthodox Monastery of the Temptation, which was built centuries later on and around the earlier remains.
