Qalansuwa

Also known as Calanson, Calansue, Calanzon, Kalensue

A Hospitaller estate centre in the coastal plain. The medieval complex in the village centre included a tower, a substantial first-floor hall over a vaulted basement, and additional vaulted ranges around a cistern. The Hospitallers held the village until it was lost to the Mamluks around 1265.
